Hawaii has fielded 16 of the 2,721 dogs entered in the 137th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, marking the largest field of competition in 15 years.

The show will be staged in New York City Feb. 11 and 12 and for the first time, will take place in two venues, Piers 92 and 94, and at Madison Square Garden.

For the first time, live coverage of all the breed judging will be streamed online, versus the past practice of online streaming on a delayed basis.

The evening competition will be televised on CNBC Monday and on USA Network on Tuesday. Monday’s coverage will include the Hound, Toy, Non-sporting and Herding groups, while Tuesday’s telecast will include the Sporting, Working and Terrier groups as well as Best in Show.
