Fire crews aid injured hiker in West Maui

Maui fire rescue personnel assisted a 22-year-old Lahaina man who fell and injured his back while hiking with friends on the Makamakaole Trail in West Maui.
The victim was airlifted to a secured landing zone, where he was met by paramedics who then transported him to Maui Memorial Medical Center in stable condition.
The incident occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m.
