Police arrested a 17-year-old boy who allegedly robbed two young males on a Waipahu street this afternoon.

Police said the Waipahu teenager approached a group of three young males as they were walking about 3 p.m. on Kahuanui Street near Kahuawai Street.

He allegedly punched an 18-year-old man in the face, causing him to collapse, police said, causing a minor cut to the lip. The 17-year-old then punched a 14-year-old boy in the face, causing a minor cut and swelling to the cheek.

The suspect then allegedly took an iPod, a cell phone and a backpack from the two victims, police said.

The victims were treated at the scene for their injuries, police said.

Police found the suspect nearby and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
