7 hostages, 11 militants dead after raid in Algeria

AIN AMENAS, Algeria >> Algeria’s state news agency says the country’s special forces stormed a gas installation, killing 11 militants. The agency says seven hostages were killed by militants during the assault.
Algerian Press Service says the troops stormed the facility today after a four-day standoff in which militants occupied the Ain Amenas natural gas facility in southern Algeria.
