Honolulu police reopened Kalanianaole Highway in Waimanalo between Bell and Nalu streets, which was closed for about an hour and a half because of a traffic accident.

Emergency Medical Services said a head-on collision occurred on the highway between Sea Life Park and Shriner's beach at 8:46 a.m. Two men, one 50 years old and one 60, were transported in serious condition to a trauma center, and a 35-year-old man refused treatment at the scene, EMS said.

The road was reopened at 10:12 a.m.
