American Airlines and Alaska Airlines have expanded so-called codeshare routes between Hawaii and the San Francisco Bay Area, and other cities on the mainland.

Travelers on American will benefit from 22 new Alaska air routes between the islands, the Bay Area, and other markets, while Alaska Air customers will have expanded options via 19 American Airlines routes.

The codeshare flights are available for sale today, for travel beginning Thursday.

The airlines already offer redemption of frequent flier miles across each other’s flights.
