Man seriously injured in Kalaeloa assault

Paramedics took a 50-year-old man to the hospital in serious condition after an assault in Kalaeloa, the city Department of Emergency Services reported.

An ambulance was dispatched to 91-1096 Yorktown Street in Kalaeloa, where the Honolulu Community Action Program center is located, at about 9:45 p.m. Saturday after a man was assaulted by male suspects earlier in the evening.

No other information was immediately available.

One of the saddest days in my life when the Federal Government gave up the military base formely known as Barber's Point Naval Air Station. Sad, sad, and more sad. The property now known as Kalaeloa, is a shell of it's former self.
