Transportation officials are advising Oahu drivers of potential traffic delays this weekend, with roadwork slated on the H-1 freeway from Pearl City to Waipahu, and in Kakaako.

Multiple westbound lanes on H-1 will be closed between the Pearl City Waimalu offramp (exit 10) and the Waipahu offramp (exit 8B). Those closures run 9 a.m. Sunday through 4:30 a.m. Monday, according to state the Department of Transportation.

Two H-1 eastbound lanes will also be closed heading eastbound — from the Kamehameha Highway overpass to the H-1/H-2 merge — 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, DOT officials say. (For more information, visit www.pmcontraflow.com)

In Kakaako, Punchbowl Street  from makai of the Pohukaina Street intersection to Ala Moana Boulevard will be closed 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today and Sunday for trench-restoration work.
