SAN FRANCISCO >> Authorities say they don't have any reports of damage or injuries after an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 was recorded off the Northern California coast.

No tsunami warnings were issued.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake hit about 46 miles southwest of Eureka at 9:46 a.m. (7:46 a.m. Hawaii time) Sunday.

A Eureka police dispatcher says the department had no calls after the quake, and that the quake was not felt at police headquarters.

I really don't get this headline. A 4.3 earthquake is a routine event. There is never, ever, a tsunami after a 4.3 earthquake. And 4.3 earthquakes happen all the time in California. Why the news report?
