LAS VEGAS >> A judge says two men should face trial on felony attempted murder and battery with a weapon charges in the stabbing of a tourist last month in a Las Vegas Strip resort elevator.

Justice of the Peace Conrad Hafen viewed elevator video and heard testimony from the victim before deciding today there was enough evidence to send the case against Trent Wilcox and Carlos Heredia to state court.

Video shows the two men exchanging words with California tourist Eric Miller and his wife, Diane Androvich, before the 2 a.m. Feb. 16 attack on an upper guest floor at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay.

According to testimony and police, everyone in the elevator had been drinking.

Hafen scheduled Wilcox and Heredia for arraignment March 19 in Clark County District Court.
