Permit for Aina Haina construction project temporarily suspended

The city has temporarily suspended the building permits at a construction site on Hao Street in Aina Haina on property owned by developer Jeff Stone.

In a press release this aftrnoon, the city Department of Planning and Permitting said the building permits where two single-family homes are being built was suspended after it received a letter from William Aila Jr., Department of Land and Natural Resources Chairman.

Aila asked that the city stop the construction because the State Historic Preservation Division “believes a historic site may exist or existed,” the city said.

The city said the suspension is temporary while it considers the state’s recommendation that an Archaeological Inventory Survey be conducted.

Isn't this the guy who owns Stoneridge Recoveries, the towing company that had the county towing contract for years and had a bunch of complaints lodged against his company for overcharging and damaging cars?
