Three adults and two children are homeless after fire destroyed their Foster Village house Wednesday afternoon, but no one was injured.
Damage to single-family house, built in the late 50s, and contents was reported at $350,000, said Fire Department spokesman Capt. Terry Seelig. No other homes were damaged,
Four of the five residents were home at the time, and escaped through the back to a nearby park.
Firefighters brought the fire under control at 5:55 p.m. Most of the damage occurred to the front of the house. Two vehicles in the carport were also heavily damaged.
Firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire at 1231 Kukila Place near Bougainville Drive in Foster Village about 5:30 p.m., Seelig said.
Red Cross is responding to the family’s needs.
