Task force arrests 32 fugitives from Hawaii, elsewhere

A state and federal fugitive task force has arrested 32 fugitives from Hawaii and other states, clearing 45 warrants.

Arrested Monday in Kealakekua was Arizona native Sean Patrick Carroll., 21, who is charged with three counts of sexual assault, a class two felony. The alleged crime took place in August 2011 and involved two female victims both under the age of 15. Carroll is being held at Hawaii Community Correctional Center pending extradition to Arizona. He is being held on $100,000 bond. 

On Tuesday, Qshawane Argeme Pryor, 26, was arrested without incident for violation of parole from the Kansas Department of Corrections Facility on October 13, 2011. A warrant for his arrest was issued on Oct. 1, 2012. Pryor was on parole for sale of opiates and possession of depressants, stimulants, and hallucinogenic. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Kansas received information that Pryor fled and was residing in Kona. Pryor was found at a home in Waikaloa, and is being housed at Hawaii County Correction Center, where he awaits an extradition hearing to send him back to Topeka, Kansas. 

Also arrested Tuesday was Garrett Teaua Tehaamatai, 26,  at a residence in Kailua-Kona. Tehaamatai was wanted on four state warrants charging him with two probation violations, second-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree burglary, and second-degree theft. Tehaamatai has been convicted of first-degree terroristic threatening, abuse of a family member and unlawful imprisonment. He is being held on two bonds totaling $45,300.  

U.S. Marshals Hawaii Fugitive Task Force Officers is comprised of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Hawaii State Sheriff’s Department, Maui Police Department, Hawaii County Police Department, and Kauai Police Department.
