6 people, including 5 teenagers, injured in head-on collision

Five teenagers, three of whom were ejected from the bed of a pickup truck, and a 42-year-old woman went to the hospital in serious condition after a head-on collision on Kaukonahua Road Saturday evening, paramedics said.
The male teenagers, two ages 18 and three ages 17, were in a pickup truck driven by one of the 17-year-old teens that collided with an automobile driven by the 42-year-old woman, the city's Emergency Medical Services Division reported.
Police said the incident happened at about 6:10 p.m. along pineapple fields near the S-turn on Kaukonahua Road.
Police shut down Kaukonahua Road between Wilikina Drive and the Halawa Triangle for about 45 minutes after the accident.
