Girl accuses mom's boyfriend of sex assault in 2008

Police are investigating the case of a 37-year-old man who allegedly sexually assaulted his girlfriend’s daughter in Kailua in 2008.

The 12-year-old girl told police she was sexually assaulted between Jan. 1, 2008, and Jan. 1, 2009.

Police on Friday opened a first-degree sexual assault case.

No arrests have been made as of today.
