2 men safe after being swept out to sea off Kauai

Hanalei fire rescue personnel assisted two men who were swept out to sea at Anini Beach this afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the scene around 2:15 p.m. Two firefighters paddled ot to the surf zone and transferred one man onto a paddleboard. He was then transferred to a JetSki and brought safely back to shore.

The other man was able to make it back to shore on his own. Neither man was injured.
