Hawaii County firefighters spent more than three hours battling a fire that gutted a three-story house in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision Sunday.

The fire was first reported at 4:05 p.m. When firefighters arrived, they found the 1,056-square-foot home on Lemiwai Road fully engulfed.

Crews from four engine companies and two tankers were able to bring the fire under control by 6:16 p.m. and had it fully extinguished an hour and a half later.

No injuries were reported.
