LAS VEGAS >> A defense attorney says two men pleaded not guilty to felony attempted murder and battery with a weapon charges in the stabbing of a tourist in a Las Vegas Strip hotel elevator.

Monti Jodana Levy, attorney for Carlos Heredia, said a judge scheduled trial May 20 for her client and co-defendant Trent Wilcox.

The 2 a.m. Feb. 16 incident left California tourist Eric Miller wounded at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay.

Video shows Miller and his wife, Diane Androvich, arguing in the elevator with Wilcox and Heredia before Heredia stabs Miller.

Wilcox also received stab wounds as he held Miller from behind.

Heredia is 23. Wilcox is 25. They're being held at the Clark County jail.

If they're convicted, each could face five to 55 years in prison.
