Hawaii County police investigate theft of front end loader

Hawaii island police are investigating the theft of a front-end loader in Ninole on the Hamakua Coast.

Police said a green John Deere front end loader was taken from the property near the 20-mile marker on Route 19 sometime between 4:30 p.m. Friday and 8:20 a.m. Monday.

The front-end loader was equipped with a yellow Gearmore grass cutter.

The equipment is valued at a total of $39,000, police said.
