More fuel added to the fire for gun control advocates. Individuals who use guns to settle their disputes certainly qualify as mentally incompetent to own weapons on any sort. How these individuals got the guns, must be determined and public record made to deny them from future purchases of firearms.

The number of guns in the hands of youngsters in Ewa/Ewa Beach is astounding. I've got first-hand knowledge. Over the years, there's been numerous incidents of youngsters shooting other youngsters, some of them resulting in death. Recall if you will the kid that got shot by another kid while riding in a car on Ft. Weaver. The shot from behind and through thecar's back window. And another kid standing with a group of kids at a party shot by yet another kid in Ewa. A girl hit by a stray bullet in the foot on New Year's Eve a few years back. My friend's dad hit by yet another stray on New Year's Eve that came through the eaves of their home, ricochet off a car then hit him in the leg. There's a lot of gun "incidents" that aren't reported because the kids are just that, juveniles, and the parents step in and won't allow any investigation, otherwise, news report. You would be surprised how often that happens. The parents part of the problem, one of these such kids, his dad recently in court facing 2 counts of a felon in possession of a firearm. My daugther a then-teenager was exposed to tons of guns growing up in Ewa Beach and attending Campbell High.
