Hawaii County police try to identify shoplifting suspect

Hawaii County police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman wanted for shoplifting at a Hilo store.

About 4:20 p.m. March 27, the unidentified woman removed items from store without paying for them. She is described as short with a large build and long dark hair.

Police ask that anyone with information on her identity or location call the Police Department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call CrimeStoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
