Is so sad that these parents didn't learn from the fact that this also happened a few days ago. I would have been so careful after hearing another child was seriously injured in the same way. Some people just shouldn't have kids. I would think most kids were an accident bring born to irresponsible people.

aomohoa - unfortunately you are not very far off the mark. Rather disturbing to consider the future ramifications of the idiot underclass being bred and maintained by our welfare state.

I hope the boy recovers from his injuries. Another report said he fell through a screen window of the apartment.

A few years ago I invested in Guardian Angel Window Guards after I read about several children falling out of upper-story windows in Honolulu. These railings offer the protection you need but are easily removed for window cleaning or in case of fire. They were expensive, but I feel so much better with them installed. The installation process was fairly simple -- anyone can do it with a drill and screwdriver. I recommend them highly. http://www.angelguards.com/
