Just wait until the Waialae bike lane comes into play...It won't take long until the first major injury/fatality is recorded. The people that want the bike lane are in denial of the rude, aggressive, careless, as well as the older drivers in Hawaii. Not to mention Waialae is just too skinny, too busy, and too visually busy (colorful shop facades, wooden telephone poles, signs, parked cars, etc).

Kids speeding on whining mopeds (without helmets) off of 10th avenue and into Palolo Valley are a daily nuisance. There are never any cops around to curtail their speeding. Sooner or later, something like this happens. It seems all the cops in the Honolulu area have been permanently reassigned to Waikiki 24/7.

More and more serious collisions with mopeds and there are violations all over the place - especially east Honolulu from UH to Sandy Beach. See tourists on rentals who obviously have no idea on where to ride them and lots of younger riders packing two. Sometimes right past police officers on the roadway with no apparent enforcement taken. Tragedies waiting to happen are happening!

SA, you sure this is in Kaimuki? You keep deleting my correcting you of the location of the other moped accident in Pearl City. First you said Kaneohe, then updated and changed it to Waipahu. So, which is it? I guess you going delete this one too.

Now you got it right. It's Pearl City. 3 times to get the correct location. That's why I spend all day going back to your stories, cuz with all your updating, I don't know which one to believe. My goodness...
