If this had happened in Waianae it would not even be news! Very unusual for quiet Manoa!

allie you sad sad ignorant little boy/girl. I guess one should expect Such a crass remark from a sophomoric, immature, cowardly purveyor of untruth known only for imbicillic behavior. If what you say were true how would you have known that car thefts occur on the west side? Truly you are consistent with your history for which any person of conscience or integrity would be appropriately ashamed.

When my car was stolen, there sure as heck was no "manhunt" for the scumbag(s) who took it, let alone using a helicopter?! I never heard another word from HPD about any efforts to find out who stole my car. THIS one has to belong to a VIP, or there must be some other reason they're going to such lengths to find a car thief. I'm just amazed, really.

Here we go again.....typical townside crime. Manoa, Makiki, Moi, Waikiki, Kalihi and downtown has been Hawaii's major crime hub for the past couple years.

allie you sameful, thoughtless, imbicillic child. Why would anyone else need to sneak into Manoa when there's already an embarrassment like you there? Truly, the gods of stupidity have truly blessed you with their "gift"

I am puzzled. Why do so many who post comments here dislike the poster called ‘Allie’ so much that they call her/him hateful names and such?

If HPD can put this much manpower on this one suspect, then more can go on patrol duties looking out for speeders and other driving infractions.

I totally agree as to why so much manpower for this particular incident. When MYcar was stolen, I never heard about any efforts to find the low-life(s) who stole it. No "manhunt," no helicopter! The car must belong to a VIP. SOMETHING's going on here!!

SA, are you sure this happened in Manoa? I keep trying to correct the location in your other story, "Man seriously injured in moped accident with truck" but you keep sending my comment for approval. Anyway, in that story, 731 Kamehameha Hwy., is in Pearl City, NOT Kaneohe as was written. Get your stories right and maybe readers won't keep bashing you.

IT'S 3:30 pm and the roads are blocked coming into Manoa. Helicopters overhead. Seem to be looking intensely at the west side of the valley. There have been quite a few situations in Manoa lately.
