LAST UPDATED: 08:54 a.m. HST, May 05, 2013

Police are looking for an unknown male driver who nearly rammed a motorcycle police officer early this morning.

Police have opened up a first-degree attempted murder case. Other offenses include speeding and refusing to stop, reckless driving, excessive speed, auto theft and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

Police said the driver had been speeding at 1:25 a.m. in the Honolulu area, and the solo bike officer stopped him. The driver pulled over, police said, but fled as the officer approached.

Police said the vehicle was stolen.

The officer began pursuing the vehicle and the driver nearly rammed the officer, who managed to get out of the way, as the suspect fled, police said.

Police said a passenger in the vehicle is also wanted.

Good News the HPD officer avoided the car. Thank You HPD for your dedication to "Protect and Serve" To the Hawaii: Let's find this violator and get them off the streets. To the Court System: Keep these type of people off the Streets, For Good!. Let us not wait until there is a Fatality, before swift and strict Punishment is meted out!

HAJ-ALLIE honestly, comparing your comments to allie's there's very little difference. Having been in the islands for all of 3 months I'm making my own conclusions. I'll give allie the benefit of the doubt till I see enough to indicate otherwise. Just because allie is an obnoxious know it all doesn't mean allie is not a student at UH. I have noticed that there are several who it seems habitually make stupid comments, you and allie are among them if you are not the same person. But the possible exception in your case is that from time to time I've noticed that you do make a comment that is not stupid, rare but it does occur.
