Kauai school custodian arrested on campus for drug offenses

  • William Arthur, 55, was arrested for one count of promoting a controlled substance near a school and one count of possessing drug paraphernalia.

A 55-year-old Kauai middle school custodian was arrested on campus earlier this month with selling marijuana and other drug offenses.

William Arthur  was arrested May 8 in the parking lot of Waimea Canyon Middle School  and charged with promoting a controlled substance near a school and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Police said Arthur was caught during school hours with more than 27 grams of marijuana in his vehicle along with marijuana cigarettes, an undisclosed amount of cash and other related items.

He posted $2,000 bail and was released.
