A 55-year-old Kauai middle school custodian was arrested on campus earlier this month with selling marijuana and other drug offenses.

William Arthur  was arrested May 8 in the parking lot of Waimea Canyon Middle School  and charged with promoting a controlled substance near a school and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Police said Arthur was caught during school hours with more than 27 grams of marijuana in his vehicle along with marijuana cigarettes, an undisclosed amount of cash and other related items.

I believe one of the major problems with our government employees' benefits package is that, even if this guy is convicted, he'll end up collecting all of his pension and healthcare benefits.

Is his position as a custodian also covered the same as teachers by the union? Interesting, eh what?

Isn't 27 grams the amount that the legislature wanted to make a misdemeanor offense. Many people commented that the amount the legislature wanted to set the standard at was very convenient for loose joint sellers such as this guy. Wonder who he was selling to? Seems like he might have had a ready made market right in front of him.
