LAS VEGAS >> Terrible’s Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is changing its name and getting rid of its famous cowboy sign.

The casino will be renamed Silver Sevens in July when management unveils a $7 million renovation.

Affinity Gaming began dismantling the large red, white and black cowboy marquee on Monday. The famous “bad guy” cowboy sports a black hat and a drooping handlebar mustache.

The sign will be donated to the Neon Museum, which showcases former marquees.

Affinity Gaming says the new name will help advertise the company’s new direction.
