Police Tuesday arrested a 33-year-old escapee who allegedly burglarized a Moiliili home.

Police said the man climbed into a 65-year-old woman’s home through a louvered window about 9:20 a.m.

A witness saw the suspect climb through the window and called police.

Responding officers found the man as he was fleeing the home.

The witness identified the man, and police later found and arrested him on Coyne Street on suspicion of first-degree burglary. Police later discovered the man was an outstanding escapee from Oahu Community Correctional Center.
