Oahu radio host Kanoi is Kauai-bound

By Erika Engle

Veteran local radio personality Ed Kanoi, the morning man at Honolulu's KKOL-FM 107.9, will be leaving Oahu for Kauai next month.

Kanoi has accepted a position as general manager and program director for the three Kauai radio stations licensed to H. Hawaii Media, which has stations on Kauai, Oahu and Maui.

Kanoi also will do the morning show on “Rooster Country” KTOH-FM 99.9.

“It’s neighbor island radio, a small operation, so you wear many hats,” Kanoi told the Star-Advertiser this morning.

He will be on Kauai by mid-June and will likely start hosting the morning show within a couple weeks, though the exact date has yet to be set.

The programming of H. Hawaii Media stations is streamed online.
