Board of Water Supply personnel have completed repairs to a broken water main that had prompted the closure of three westbound lanes on Kalanianaole Highway.

Work on the 8-inch main at 5044 Kalanianaole Highway and accompanying road fill repairs were completed at about 5:50 a.m. Six customers had been without water service, according to the Board.

This city seems to be falling apart. Why build an outdated rail and way overpay for it when your infrastructure is falling apart? makes no sense.

Fast forward twenty years and we will be looking at headlines of the rail breakdown during rush hour. By then the politicians will have gone to the bank and out.

And the water main breaks, sewer line breaks, and potholes everywhere will still be around because they still haven't been fixed.

IRT mikethenovice: And those trains will be totally automated with no crew aboard. Sounds like fun.

Looks like the east side is experiencing mass traffic jams similar to what west side folks get almost every day. Those that can afford to live on the east or windward side aren't used to traffic jams. Enjoy!

Union bosses and contracts strictly prohibit any improvements to our infrastructure lasting longer than 10 years. Any longer would cost union jobs and over paid suppliers money. Dumbocrats run the Nei into the ground.

Dear Mayor Caldwell, You promised to make the rail better. The best way to do this is to cancel the rail and fix our sewers, water mains, potholes and take care of what we have. No new high rises, no new projects until we can maintain what we have.

Take care of the basics first or we have every right to expect that your new Rail will be neglected over time the same way the rest of our crumbling infrastructure is now.
