Hilo woman charged in connection with burglary spree

Hawaii County police were holding a 24-year-old Hilo woman in connection with a burglary spree last month.

Bail for Suzy Chun was set at $116,000 afer she was charged Thursday with three counts of first-degree burglary, four counts of second-degree theft and one count of third-degree theft. Stolen items include jewelry, computer laptops and gaming systems with a combined value of more than $10,000.

Detectives said she was involved in the break-ins of three homes during the first week of May in Pana­ewa Farm Lots, Upper Wai­akea and Lau­pa­hoe­hoe.

Officers arrested her Wednesday on an outstanding warrant.
