Townbound drivers this week will face daytime and overnight lane closures on the H-1 freeway, the state Department of Transportation said.

Three townbound lanes between the H-1/H-2 merge and the Pearlridge/Waimalu offramp will be closed from 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. today through Friday for viaduct deck repairs.

Drivers will also encounter overnight H-1 townbound lane closures between the Radford Drive overpass and Valkenburgh Street from 9 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Monday through Friday for road-marking installations.

During the day, two H-1 townbound right lanes will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday for deck repairs.

Lets hope our dysfunctional DoT gets it right this time after their endless string of failures. Work starts and ends on time, job is done right, repairs last for many years. Year. Right. Vegas odds are 90 to 1 DoT will fail again.
