Man charged with threatening woman in Maili

Prosecutors charged a 36-year-old man Tuesday for allegedly threatening a 34-year-old female household member in Maili.

Police said the man got into a verbal argument with the woman at 1:15 p.m. Monday, and allegedly threatened her with a knife. He then allegedly choked the woman with both hands, police said.

Police arrested Herman Kelii III Monday on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and felony abuse of a household or family member.

Prosecutors charged him with first-degree terroristic threatening.

His bail was set at $25,000.
