Cell phone app helps police catch burglary suspect

A cell phone tracking app helped Honolulu police arrest a suspected burglar.

Police said a burglar stole a cell phone and other belongings from the North School Street home of a 29-year-old woman Tuesday at about 9:30 a.m.

The woman used the cell phone tracking app to locate her phone and officers arrested a 25-year-old man with the cell phone and other belongings that were allegedly stolen, police said.

Unfortunately, the burglar won't do much time, if at all. Depending on the value of the stolen items he'll probably do small time and be at it again. And when he gets back to doing it again he simply won't be stealing cell phones. And thus the cycle repeats with many more victims for years to come.
