Gandolfini leaves bulk of $70M estate to children

By Associated Press

LAST UPDATED: 08:57 a.m. HST, Jul 04, 2013

NEW YORK >> James Gandolfini left the bulk of his estimated $70 million estate to his 13-year-old son and infant daughter.

The late star of HBO's "The Sopranos" left millions of dollars to his wife and relatives.

The New York Post reports a will dated Dec. 19 was filed Tuesday in Manhattan Surrogate's Court.

Gandolfini's son, Michael, is to get the largest chunk through a trust set aside for him until he turns 21. He'll split his father's Italian property with 8-month-old half-sister Liliana when she turns 25.

The newspaper says the remainder of Gandolfini's estate will be split among his wife, sisters and daughter.

Gandolfini grew up in Westwood, N.J. He died last month. He left $200,000 each to his personal assistant and secretary.

The will is the first and primary filing of his estate; more filings are expected.

I'm glad he left most of it to his first wife's son. See how quickly he was finished off after he filed his will! Same thing will happen to my ex! That's what happens when you give in to Chinese women from Hawaii or in this case the PRC, via Hawaii! She did that to her older first white husband! The stupid who brought her over, divorce his wife and family and got her immigration! MONEY! That's all she is interested in ..the million dollar house my mother made possible for him... and his power and prestige at UH!

Blah blah blah, you are not important and your personal life does not matter to anyone here. But no wonder she dumped you, you're such a crybaby.

A great actor and likely a very nice guy. But 70 million to play characters? It shows the fundamental flaws in our society when entertainers and athletes make insane amounts of money and people like teachers and social workers barely make a living.

You chose to be a teacher, he chose to be an actor and got very lucky he was noticed. You on the other hand sound like a budding communist.

Not a teacher or a social worker, just an admirer of people that make actual contributions to society. If you think playing a gangster warrants that kind of money when there are kids that still need free lunches in our glorious "capitalist" country, you are a simpleton. Go back to your Toby Keith records.

WOW! So much negative comments to "2disgusted2". The most important thing is that, it was their life and they loved each other enough to bore a child. Isn't that what you do when you Love each other and get married. And if your marriage didn't turn out, life will go one and I hope "2disgusted2" will go on too. It's not good to dwell over spilled milk no matter how bad it happened. I guarantee you will be much happier if you move on. And I know you don't mean that she is Chinese from Honolulu. Yeah, it could be anyone from anywhere.
