The local group For the Love is organizing a beach cleanup at Ala Moana Beach Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday to clear litter left by Fourth of July celebrations.

Volunteers are welcome and should bring garbage bags and gloves. The litter and debris collected from the cleanup will be tallied for Love Your Coast’s international research and awareness efforts.

Check-in is at 10 a.m. near McCoy Pavilion, with lunch provided at 12:30 p.m. A mermaid performance and yoga cool-down will take place later in the afternoon. Prizes include T-shirts and restaurant gift certificates.
