Genki Ala Moana customers can order sushi on touch screens

By Star-Advertiser staff

LAST UPDATED: 05:05 p.m. HST, Jul 08, 2013

When Genki Sushi at Ala Moana Center reopens on Wednesday, regulars will notice there will be a new way to get their sushi.

The 49-seat restaurant announced today that, as part of its renovation, it will premiere the country's first double rail sushi delivery system that will include computer screen touch panel ordering.

The orders will be delivered to customers on platforms shaped as a bullet train, racing car, surfboard, space shuttle or kayiki fish.

Don't let the machines replace the friendly workers. That the reason why we eat out. We don't need to eat in a assembly line factory warehouse.

I heard that you have to bring your baseball glove because they'll be throwing your sushi at you. If you drop it you'll be charged with an error. Three errors and you gotta clean the toilets.
