Honolulu police detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a gunman who robbed the Chevron station on North King Street in Kalihi on the morning of July 5.

Police said the suspect entered the convenience store at the gas station, brandished a handgun and demanded money before fleeing west on North King Street at about 5:24 a.m.

Wide-angle security camera video posted on the Honolulu Police Department’s YouTube channel shows the suspect, with a dark blue hooded sweatshirt covering his face and wearing white shorts and slippers, enter the store. The man leans over the counter and shows what appears to be a gun.

Anyone with information on the suspect can call CrimeStoppers or Honolulu Police Department detectives. Information can also be left online at honolulupd.org.

You would think in this day security cameras would provide much better quality - the owners of this station clearly went the cheap route by using a single wide as opposed to multiple short cameras. On another note, was this a human being or a gorilla? He was all bent over and wiggling like the African gorillas do on the nature channel...
