Honolulu police released photos and video of a suspect in the armed robbery of the Chevron on North King Street in Kalihi on July 5.

Honolulu police detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a gunman who robbed the Chevron station on North King Street in Kalihi on the morning of July 5.

Police said the suspect entered the convenience store at the gas station, brandished a handgun and demanded money before fleeing west on North King Street at about 5:24 a.m.

Wide-angle security camera video posted on the Honolulu Police Department’s YouTube channel shows the suspect, with a dark blue hooded sweatshirt covering his face and wearing white shorts and slippers, enter the store. The man leans over the counter and shows what appears to be a gun.

Anyone with information on the suspect can call CrimeStoppers or Honolulu Police Department detectives. Information can also be left online at honolulupd.org.
