Man arrested, released in connection with grass fire in Haleiwa

Police arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with a grass fire that consumed 10 acres in Haleiwa on Friday.

Police said the suspect was burning garbage in the area when the fire spread.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of failure to control widely dangerous means, which is a misdemeanor. He was released on $100 bail.
