Routine traffic stops led to the arrests of five juveniles in two separate incidents recently.

Police said a patrol sergeant pulled over a moped for a traffic violations and learned the moped had been stolen.

The sergeant arrested the 13-year-old moped driver on suspicion of driving a stolen moped. Officers then discovered the boy had a credit card belonging to another person, police said. The teenager was also arrested on suspicion of credit card theft.

In another incident on Tuesday night, a patrol officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and then received information about a theft at a Kalihi store.

The vehicle’s occupants, four juvenile boys, matched the description of the theft suspects and the officers arrested the boys.

These kids have too much time on their hand. When do the schools start up again out here? And not too clever for a 13 year old to be driving a stolen moped. Legal divers age?
