Hilo man charged with two burglaries in Waiakea Uka

Hawaii County police Friday arrested and charged a 20-year-old Hilo man who allegedly broke into two homes in the Waiakea Uka area last year.

Police said James Kama allegedly burglarized two houses in November and December 2012, allegedly taking $5,000 worth of ammunition, hunting equipment, electronic, household and yard items.

Kama was charged with two counts of first-degree burglary and one count of fourth-degree theft.

His bail was set at $10,250 and is being held at the Hilo police cellblock.
