Man, 63, nearly drowns off Waikiki

A 63-year-old man was taken to a local trauma center in critical condition following a near drowning incident at Waikiki Beach this afternoon.

According to an Emergency Medical Services report, the man was found face down in the water. He was pulled ashore, where Ocean Safety personnel performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m.
