Hawaii County police seize gambling machines, arrest 5 in Hilo

Hawaii County police arrested two men and three women for alleged involvement in a gambling operation in Hilo.

Vice officers recovered on Friday eight gambling devices, including slot machines and computers used for gambling, from Hilo Arcade, 138 Kinoole St..

Police also recovered $1,447 cash for forfeiture.

Police arrested at the arcade two female employees, ages 19 and 23, on suspicion of promoting gambling, possession of gambling devices and possession of gambling records. A 19-year-old employee was also arrested Tuesday.

Two Keaau men, ages 25 and 27, identified as the business owners, were arrested Monday and Tuesday.
