Police have released the 22-year-old Waikamilo man who was arrested following a fight in a Keeaumoku Street area bar.

Police continue to investigate the fight between two groups of men at 1:20 a.m. Sunday that resulted with one man being stabbed in the leg.

This was the fifth stabbing incident in area since March. Other fights and stabbings occurred March 3, March 15, March 31, and May 4. All of the previous incidents happened in the early morning hours between 3:30 a.m. and 7 a.m.

In the latest incident, the victim’s friends took him to the hospital, police said. The other group of men fled the scene, but police arrested a 22-year-old man near Piikoi and Young streets about an hour later on suspicion of second-degree assault.
