This is how Honolulu's Finest arrests a perp. Don't confuse Deedy, the State Department agent on trial for shooting a disorderly local "punk" with HPD procedures for law enforcement.

Deedy the punk, shoot an unarmed man. HPD cuff um and take um away. He knew about laws and locals and training, but could not cite a local law broken by Elderts prior to Deedys kicking attack.

Our foul leftist Democrats have totally cowed and practically disarmed our good cops. If I was in charge, cops would not only be permitted but even be ordered to shoot anybody who attacks them.

I'm sure one day they will perceive YOU as attacking them despite the fact that you are unarmed.

"arriving officers" - probably was easier for HPD since there was more than one officer there. If it was one HPD officer and the suspect was beating him up, the result probably would have been different.

None of this "felony assault of a police officer" [BANG!] nonsense.

This is how a trained professional acts.

I wonder if the suspect has a relative that was involved in an altercation that happened at a Waikiki fast food restaurant back in '11.

Throw the book at this dude. Shows that protective order was justified and that guy probably could have seriously hurt somebody if the police hadn't showed up.
