A man whose bicycle was stolen tracked it down and found it for sale, which led to charges against the suspect Thursday.

The bike had been stolen from a Waikiki apartment building at 4 p.m. Aug. 7. The bike owner located it and called police.

Police arrested Woody Ross on second-degree theft Thursday. He was later charged on third-degree theft, and his bail was set at $2,000.

That's the system for you. This state is lax on thieves and that is why we have such a problem with them. They are often given probation and they are given alternatives to jail should they be caught doing it again. We need to say, "Hey, this is the second time you have committed a crime. This time around you are going to do some time."
