2 men in critical condition after near drownings

Paramedics took a man in his 30s to the hospital in critical condition after an apparent near drowning at Hanauma Bay Saturday morning.

An Emergency Medical Services report said the incident happened at about 11:15 a.m. at the popular snorkeling beach park.

Later on in the day paramedics took a 37-year-old man to the hospital in critical condition after he nearly drowned at Kalama Beach Park in Kailua. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. Saturday.

No other details were made available.
