Senior All-American hitter Emily Hartong put down a match-high 14 kills and freshman Nikki Taylor added 10 as No. 11 Hawaii swept UTEP 25-20, 25-15, 25-10 Saturday in the Chevron Rainbow Wahine Invitational volleyball tournament at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Hawaii coach Dave Shoji, two victories away from becoming the all-time winningest coach in the sport, used all 16 of his roster players in the 82-minute romp. The Miners (0-3) got nine kills from Talia Jones.
