In the other case, an officer tried to stop a moped driving on a sidewalk in Nanakuli, but the driver tried to flee.

Police said after the moped driver, a 19-year-old man, was caught at about 7:15 p.m, they discovered the moped was stolen.

Officers arrested the suspect for suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.

In the other case, officers pulled over a moped in Kalihi at about 5 p.m. for a traffic stop and discovered the moped was reported stolen in 2011.
